    AI Technology and Kids: 2025

AI Technology and Kids: A Generational Struggle for Readiness :

Recently, we found in a report that over 5,000 children openly talk about suicide.
This is happening in a place where digital adult supervision is almost nil—a place where internet hopelessness and despair are growing. And this is the generation that will build our future.

This is a clear single sign that parents and the child reduction system are failing to guide children. While we have an artificial intelligence (AI) generation that is reshaping society, we are not able to teach children emotionally, nor are we able to give them the skills and purpose that today’s generation needs to survive and succeed in the future.

Protecting Kids in the Online Anonymity Era:

This is showing the symptoms of a big disease. In earlier times, parents used to worry that if the children go out to play, how will they be, what will they be doing and all, but in today’s generation, children do not go out, but still it is very difficult for parents to ask them to study, because now the children do not go out, but are busy using mobiles all day long. It is difficult for these parents to make their children focus on studies because this digital world is active 24/7.

Platforms like Discord have been designed. But if these are not monitored properly, they can be dangerous for children. This can further increase their emotions and frustration. The safety features of the platform can only work when children are able to cope on their own. This also creates a gap in parental guidance.
All this leads to poor mental health of children and the reason for this is social media pressure. Due to this, neither our children are under our control nor do they study or do any other activities.

Before we prepare for an artificial intelligence (AI) future, we need to get our children out of the digital abyss – by actively involving them in their online lives, setting clear boundaries, and creating open communication so they understand online dangers.
If we want to prepare children for an artificial intelligence AI-driven future, we first need to put in place some settings to help them get out of the digital abyss, such as some boundaries, monitoring, and open conversations.

    AI Technology

Education System Without a Clear Roadmap :

Our schools are still following outdated models, based solely on rote learning and tests. When parents are struggling so much to educate their children, our education system must also improve. The jobs created for students are rapidly disappearing.

The curriculum focuses on rote learning and standardized learning, while artificial intelligence (AI) can perform those same skills better.

71% of people believe that many jobs will be taken over by artificial intelligence (AI), but this is not entirely true. Still, our schools are pushing students into artificial intelligence (AI) career paths that they may not even exit upon graduation.

When there is a career, students are not taught how to think, they are taught what to think. Even now, schools are preparing students for linear careers, when their real future will be filled with constant change and disruption.

Anti-Work Youth: Future Without Purpose :

This trend in today’s generation views work as a burden, not a source of fulfillment.

Students are completing their graduation while taking on loans and debt. But perhaps students don’t realize that the skills they are learning, or have already completed, are already being performed with great efficiency by artificial intelligence (AI), which is why their jobs are being replaced. And the corporate world offers them little except burnout.

Surveys of Gen Z millennials continue to show that they want a safe and healthy work-life balance, which the current system is failing to provide.

If we do not solve this purpose, then in future we will have to face a generation which, along with being unemployed, will also lose the desire to do a job because they have never seen that there are opportunities like a job which we can enjoy.

Transforming Learning with AI-Based Education System :

This is a huge challenge. We will have to completely overhaul our education system. For this, we should focus on what artificial intelligence (AI) cannot do. Then we should teach those skills to students. The curriculum of the future should be based only on human skills.

    1. Problem-Solving: Instead of rote learning, students should be taught how to ask the right questions and gather information from multiple sources. If students want, they can use artificial intelligence (AI) as a tutor because artificial intelligence (AI) will help the student refine their thinking.
    2. Creative Thinking and Emotional Balance: Without empathy, collaboration and innovation, humans will not be able to work with artificial intelligence (AI). Therefore, schools will have to make these “soft skills” part of the core curriculum and focus on them.
    3. Real-Life Simulations: AI-powered simulations will provide students with a safe and immersive environment where they will learn to handle business negotiations, climate crises, or ethical dilemmas—something textbooks can never teach.
    4. Lifelong Learning: One trade or one career will no longer suffice for a lifetime. Education will have to develop a “growth mindset” in students—how to learn, unlearn, and learn again. What role will personalized learning technology play in this?

    Final Thoughts :

The loss of thousands of children in the digital world is a picture that reflects our collective failure. We are simply watching as an entire generation grows up online without supervision, unprepared for the massive economic and social changes that artificial intelligence (AI) will bring.

This crisis will not be solved by technology; it is a human problem whose solution will also be human. Parents will have to reassume their guiding role in both the real world and the digital one. Our education system will have to abandon its outdated industrial-age thinking and transform to develop the skills necessary for the future.

If we don’t act, the future will be defined not by the promise of artificial intelligence(AI), but by the lost potential of a generation we left behind.
